8/30/06 - Improve your Asset performance – deal with your "Bad Actors"

Often the productivity of an asset is impacted by a single “Bad Actor”, a single “dud” component which consistently cripples the entire asset, or at very least puts it at risk.  A final drive in a machine may mean that a $3 Million asset is out of service for days.  This destructive leveraging makes identification of these problem components a high priority for most asset managers.

Improve your Asset performance – deal with your "Bad Actors"

Often the productivity of an asset is impacted by a single “Bad Actor”, a single “dud” component which consistently cripples the entire asset, or at very least puts it at risk.  A final drive in a machine may mean that a $3 Million asset is out of service for days.  This destructive leveraging makes identification of these problem components a high priority for most asset managers.
Trakka now helps identify these guys who just don’t want to play ball.   The new Component Time in Condition report (new in Release 1.8), enables a user to see what components have been in what condition during a user defined time interval.  Sorting can be done by time in condition, so these components are listed from the top.
Seeing the same types of components at the top of your list may mean that you have a bad group, and a more broad solution may be required, such as filtration or component upgrades.
