Dingo announces permanent operations in Canada

Denver, Colo., June 9, 2009 – Dingo, the world leader in solutions for maximizing heavy asset-intensive operations, has established a permanent operations base in Canada.

"We have people on the ground, we're working with mining customers and labs across Canada and we're helping our Canadian mining customers achieve significant savings and increased asset availability," said Dingo President and CEO Paul Higgins.

Dingo first introduced its Condition-Based Asset Maintenance (CBAM) program several years ago in hard coking coal sites in the U.S. and Australia. Canada became a key market for Dingo as the size and growth of its mining market has grown. In 2007, the overall value of production of the Canadian mining, mineral processing and metal-producing industries totaled more than $84 billion, or 3.4 percent of the total Canadian economy, while employees grew to 367,200 in more than 200 mines.

Dingo's permanent Canadian presence is in Fernie, British Columbia, serving mining sites in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. "Since our operations are expanding in Canada," noted Steve Bradbury, Dingo chief operating officer, "we are seeking experienced and skilled program managers who have expertise and experience in mining and heavy equipment."

"Dingo's commitment to the Canadian mining market is long-term," said Higgins. "Our team is opening conversations with the Canadian mining markets across the country. We want mining customers throughout Canada to know that Dingo is here, ready to help them significantly reduce maintenance costs, avoid catastrophic in-service failures and keep their heavy assets available."

In November 2008, Dingo introduced its Condition-Based Asset Management (CBAM) system to the Canadian market at the Western Mine Maintenance Association meeting in Vancouver. Dingo's CBAM system is the recognized standard in the mining industry, assuring mining operations a rapid payback with a minimum 3:1 return on investment in less than 24 months.

Dingo is a member of The Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC) and the Mining Association of Canada (MAC).
