Dingo is made up of a team of lubricated asset experts. You might know from your personal dealings with Dingo the caliber of the people who make up the team, but there are many you don't know and also those you'll never meet who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make our programs successful with our customers around the world.
Over the next few months, we are going to introduce you to a few of our Dingoes who bring to the table an unsurpassed and impressive resume of skills in and around engineering, software, and heavy equipment applications.
Based in Dingo's Brisbane office, Don Kerr joined the Dingo management team in September 2011 in the position of Operations Manager, Asia Pacific for Dingo Mining. Prior to joining Dingo, he served as Business Manager for an architectural and engineering design company in Brisbane focusing on commercial business, project management, contracts, and financial management. Don also has 25 years' experience in the information technology and the banking industry, specializing in program and project management, outsourcing and business solutions.
Don brings to Dingo a passion for delivering programs that exceed our customers' expectations and working with people to make it happen.
"Successful projects and programs are very difficult pieces of work that require an alignment of the project manager and the client in setting the scope, and managing expectations," Don said. "At Dingo it's more about exceeding these client expectations by bringing in skilled people who understand the equipment, the maintenance processes and best practice procedures. My role is recruiting the right people to do this, helping them with the tools and approaches, and giving the leadership required to deliver these programs."
Don has been married to his wife Joanne for 30 years, and they have three grown children. He has been actively involved in football (soccer) as a manager or coach for the last 12 years, plays golf regularly, and jogs several times a week. An avid fan of Rugby League Football, he also brings his passion to supporting the Brisbane Broncos.
Also recently joining Dingo on the U.S. Condition Intelligence® side is Bruce Morton. Prior to joining Dingo, Bruce was the laboratory manager for a fluids analysis lab in Nevada.
Bruce graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Chemistry and has worked in oil analysis laboratories for 25 years. As a manager in these labs, Bruce became proficient with most laboratory instruments and testing methods for used oil.
Bruce is certified as a CLS and OMA I by the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) and certified as a Laboratory Lubricant Analyst II and an MLA I by the International Council for Machine Lubrication (ICML). Working for heavy construction labs, Bruce was constantly immersed in the machinery and the analysis of oil from the machines.
"There was a time a few years ago that I felt that oil analysis might experience a downturn in its importance of helping with Predictive Maintenance," said Bruce. "The fact is however, it is more valuable today than ever before. Oil analysis, coupled with expert data analysis remains the most powerful tool for the money that a maintenance manger can use. How Dingo uses the lab data for Predictive Maintenance is a very powerful tool."
Bruce has been married for 30 years to his wife Kathy, with a daughter Sarah and a son Bryan, who was married last October. The Mortons reside in Kaysville, Utah, where Bruce was raised.
When Bruce isn't busy analyzing oil samples, he enjoys working on cars. An avid drag racing fan, Bruce has even won a few bracket races in years past. He also plays the drums and has played in local rock bands and country bands for many years.
